Date development plan is to begin:

List the most important functions of the employee's job in
priority order. These are the functions that, if performed well, will
result in successful job performance.

Areas selected for development: List, in priority order, three areas
of development to focus on. These can be the areas of development as
suggested by the Achiever report and/or any other areas of development
suggested by the employee's manager.

Specify how these areas of development can impact performance: For
example, if one of the areas for development for a salesperson is
Assertiveness, identify how low Assertiveness can impact a salesperson's
ability to close. |
Action plan steps to take: Specify what steps can be taken to improve
the selected areas of development.
|
Resources to use: Specify resources, such as training programs, books
etc. to use as part of the action plan to improve performance.
|
Time frame: Specify the period of time in which the action plan is to
be implemented. Typically, these are in 30-day increments with a 30-day
period being allocated to each step of the action plan. |
Desired results: Specify the desired outcome of the action plan and
how the outcome is to be measured.
